Benefits of Metropolis Area Chamber of Commerce
Membership
Advertising Opportunities
Internet Exposure: The member List is placed
with other community information on the Chamber's
website, enabling thousands of potential visitors and
residents access to lists of our members.
Newsletter: "Chamberlink" is e-mailed each month (to members and
media). In addition to business news, members may
include information about themselves in the "Spotlight"
category. All ribbon cuttings and new members are
recognized.
Newsletter Additions: Members may place full page
flyers for scanning in the newsletter for $20.00 and non-members
for $35.00.
Mailing List: to assist members with their own
marketing, sets of mailing labels of members may be
purchased for $10 ($25.00 for non-members).
Business Expo: Plans are underway for the
seventh
Annual Business Expo in 2006. This is a great
opportunity for businesses to promote their products.
The display fee is $50.00 for members and $75.00 for
non-members.
Referrals: The Chamber staff responds to the
hundreds of inquiries received by our office each year
by giving information on members. Members ONLY are
referred as business leads.
Racks for Member Information: Racks are
available for members to display their business
brochures and business cards to visitors in our
office.
Networking Opportunities
Business After Hours: This is an excellent
opportunity for members to meet and visit with one
another
Monthly Luncheons: On the 2nd Wednesday of
every month, members meet at the Metropolis Community
Center at noon to network and discuss chamber
business.
Annual Banquet: The Annual Chamber Banquet is
held in October. Awards are given to outstanding
citizens and businesses.
Golf Outing: Each summer area golfers
participate in our annual Golf Outing at Metropolis
Country Club. Cost is $60.00 per golfer. Contact the
Chamber Office for details.
Other Benefits
Business Seminars: Seminars on topics of
business interest are held as needed.
Resources: For public reference, community
demographics, lists of major employers, local phone
directories, lists of clubs and organizations, local
maps, and lists of local, area, state, and national
legislative contacts are at the Chamber.
