Superman Celebration

Join the festivities in Metropolis for this all-out festival to celebrate
The Man of Steel. Arts and crafts; SuperTrek Bicycle Tour; food booths; Superman
road race; Superman Drama and other entertainment; contests; Rotary car show;
1812 living history event at historic Fort Massac State Park; and more are

Authentically-dressed, living history re-enactors bring the late 1700s to
life at the historic fort. Military drill, crafts and authentic open-fire
and stone bake oven cooking add interest. Free admission. Handicapped accessible.

Fort Massac Encampment
Oct. 20-21, 2007 The early days of Illinois settlement come alive at the reconstructed
fort at Fort Massac State Park. Appropriately dressed re-enactors demonstrate

Spring of 2007 Metropolis Chamber Business Expo will be held at Player's Amerihost
Inn from 9:00am to 2:00 pm.
ASA Illinois Pro/Am Archery Championship
June 2007 Professionals and amateurs will compete in this 3-D archery tournament
at Mermet Lake Conservation Area, off U.S. Route 45 11 miles north of Metropolis.
The competition has classifications for men, women and children.
